GOOD BYE MY FRIENDS :"

Hello my friends and welcome back to my blog! Today I will be writing my last post as we have come to the end of this term already. I have been sharing the things we learned and did in our Current Issues in Teaching course and I hope that it was beneficial for you. Overall, I really enjoyed taking this course as I learned a lot about technology in education and I can see myself coming back to my blog page to check all the activities I have created and the websites I have used to hopefully use them in my lessons in the future.  Although I learned a lot, I must admit that creating all these activities was quite challenging as we had to be creative, come up with nice activities, and sit in front of our computers for hours and hours to complete one task. My favorite activity that I've created this year is AR/VR activity. Although it was challenging to complete, I found it very beneficial as a teaching material and I would definitely use it in my classes in the future. When it com...

USING AI TO CREATE TEACHING ACTIVITIES

Image
Hello my friends and welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to talk about my experience creating an AI activity for English lessons. Me and my friend Serra Kara chose the Movies unit from the English book for Preparatory year students to create our activity. We used Canva for the activity.  First, we needed a short action story and decided to use ChatGPT to create it. We carefully put our prompts to ensure the story was relevant to the topic and its level was appropriate for our students. Then, we used Microsoft Bing to generate a picture/movie poster for our story. We tried to make our instructions as clear as possible for the students.   Overall, it was an easy and fun experience and I would definitely consider integrating AI into my English classes in the future. I will be sharing our activity right here for you to see. Don't forget to share your opinions with me!!

OUR AR/VR INTEGRATED TEACHING MATERIAL!

Image
Hello my friends and welcome back to my blog page!  Today, I'm going to write about my experience creating an AR/VR-integrated teaching material. For this assignment, I worked with my friend Serra Kara . We decided to create a material on visiting Rome, Italy. We used Canva to prepare our material as we both are familiar with it. For the landmarks, we chose the Colosseum and the Pantheon. Then, we found 360 videos and informational videos about both places on YouTube for the students to explore. We turned the links into QR codes using this site. We also needed to find a virtual museum in Rome for our material. Using this site, we linked a virtual museum for our students to visit. As a part of our material, we also had to write questions for each part for students to answer after watching the videos. For this part, we used the help of Magic School Ai  as well as the questions that we wrote ourselves. Overall, this was my favorite teaching material so far and I...
